Meet the authors.


Alysha Ulrich


Alysha is a Climate Policy Specialist for the State of Delaware who advances emissions reduction pathways for the industry, land use, and transportation sectors. She has previous experience improving vehicle electrification at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and energy efficiency at the City of Pittsburgh. She is a published researcher through Stanford University and Pennsylvania State University on the topics of climate misinformation and obstruction, the public perception of climate policy, and climate activism. Alysha has a B.S. in Earth Science & Policy from the Pennsylvania State University Schreyer Honors College.





Isabella Briseño Elalfi


Bella is a communications specialist who focuses on building outreach campaigns, events, and partnership networks. Bella previously worked at the United Nations Joint Sustainable Development Goals Fund, where she led the design of social media campaigns, ranging from annual report features to youth engagement. She also has worked for startups including Project17, where she coordinated events such as the first 100% renewable-powered concert in the middle of Times Square, New York. Bella has a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management and B.A. in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University.




Jenna Ulrich



Jenna is an Energy Operations Engineer at the Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute. Jenna acts as an advisor for state government and non-profit entities by conducting energy market analyses, developing energy procurement and price-risk management strategies, and reporting on avoided cost projections by modeling utility price-to-compares. Jenna also assists with renewable energy project developments, especially concerning solar power and natural gas. Jenna has a B.S. in BioRenewable Systems and a M.P.S. in Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems from the Pennsylvania State University.
